Dying Changes Everything

What Happened Last Episode

• The season opens with the fallout from Amber's death, as Wilson resigns from the hospital and severs his friendship with House. House hires a private detective, Lucas, to spy on Wilson, and over the course of the season the two gradually rebuild their complicated bond. • Thirteen (Dr. Hadley) confronts her Huntington's Disease diagnosis head-on, enrolling in Foreman's experimental drug trial. She suffers serious, life-threatening side effects from the treatment, and her relationship with Foreman deepens — blurring the lines between doctor and patient, colleague and lover. • Cuddy adopts a newborn baby, which dramatically reshapes her personal and professional life. Struggling to balance motherhood with running the hospital, she temporarily delegates responsibilities to Cameron and clashes with House, whose role in her unhappiness drives a wedge between them. • The team faces extraordinary high-stakes cases throughout the season, including a hostage crisis when a desperate, undiagnosed patient holds House, Thirteen, and others at gunpoint in Cuddy's office, and a heartbreaking double mystery involving a dying couple where a beloved team member's story takes a shocking and tragic turn. • Foreman wrestles with his independence and identity, taking on solo cases to prove he doesn't need House, while Cameron and Chase navigate relationship tensions and Cameron is thrust into a power struggle when she temporarily supervises House. • House's mental and physical state deteriorates as the season progresses. What begins as apparent insomnia escalates into disturbing hallucinations and psychological unraveling, pushing him to increasingly desperate measures to cure himself — culminating in a devastating realization that calls his grip on reality into question. • The season ends with House in crisis: unable to distinguish hallucination from reality, his mind fractured between what he wants to believe and what is actually happening, setting the stage for a dramatic reckoning with his own mental health.
